Yes Ahki,this was a really important film for the UK and European scene, but it was already a scene that was real before this, Bam, Kool DJ Red Alert and Wanda Dee Tats crew etc had already been here before that. In fact the UK had a scene before the US in some respect as the Diaspora in the UK has a tight link with NY, some Bronx Tapes were here in London, Wolves, Brum and Notts before they reached out to NJ, CT & Philli etc. and this film was very political at the time as the Riots, were fresh in peoples mind. That is why people are so hostile to Graffiti, because it was an easy target to put the UK scene down. It should be remembered some of the most influential writers at this time are from here, Holland and France and watching "Writers" would be important to see for a lot of non-European writers.Good spotlight on it though.Peace The Kool Skool
