STILL RIDING ... BABY PAW!!!

Peace everybody up in mutha funking cyberspace,

Your man P-Body is checking in with some updates and what's been really hood with the Hip-Hop power cypha's going down on this so called mother earth! Damn so much has been going on the last few months that its been super radical with the Hip-Hop on this side! That i haven't had no time to check in on the blog let alone even update.. The email is stuffed to the brim with even more wack shit that i aint got time to filter thru, nor even want to even check in, HAHA! But i have came across a few things that hold me down and still keep the morale up when it comes to new music.. (I will soon share those links.)

Well as far as me and my team we are running deeper in the concrete jungle, more harder then ever, and we remain in tack! Vietnam, CA. sure does make soldiers if you ask me.. (salute to the team) So you should already know what it is on this side jack! Painting, digging, deejaying, practicing, BUILDING, traveling, and tons of planning, as we rapidly approach 2013.. That's right i said it, PLANNING cats are tired of all the wack shit and now it's time to just step out and just do you! NO EXTRAS, NO THIRST, NO JIVE ANGLES, just love, REAL BUILDING, and keeping the essence in it's purest form as humanly possible.. (more then ever!)

Those that TRULY know me and the team know that this aint no side piece talk, cats REALLY ride for this Hip-Hop shit... Brothers ride out so hard that they tend to forget about the ones that truly love them. Then on top of that still pull off some real slick moves just to get in a "sneak a trip" so our Hip-Hop morale remains up... (the things we do for Hip-Hop) This team refuses to let the surrounding of suckas even get in our zone, nor even pay attention to the sucka behaviors that they manifest... So we will put it in other ways and build amongst each other, ride out on the super lows to dig, and make nothing out of something. (REAL HIP-HOP SHIT!)

So to spread some of that charge I will soon be returning back to the blog as I am ready to go back in and keep a constant update of new GOOD Hip-Hop related things that need to be heard, seen, enjoyed, and SHARED! Speaking of sharing, The GFC (Get Free Children) and I are going to be hosting our 1st Anniversary for the family.. This is going to be a special event and it will be called "THE GET FREE CONFERENCE". This event will be exactly what it is called a complete day of nothing but everything FREE! I will release more info in the near future for this event  but so far it looks to be a nice line up already with some proper performances, dope art, live deejays, open circles, black book battles, and everything under the sun FREE! So please keep an eye out for the teaser to hit the blog in the weeks to come...

Hopefully you guys got alittle light spread on you as far as what i have been up to and why the blog as not been updated.. But thank all of you for still checking in, sending emails, and sharing the blog.. I have been doing this blog for at least 5 years now... So hopefully you been digging in the vaults of the blog and finding a few things to hold you down until i make my active return back.. (which will be soon i promise) Until i return here is a 2009 mixtape i did for the Wildstyle Technicians clothing co. Someone actually cared and posted it up on their site the other day. (good looks Dome Shots) Just incase you missed it here is the link to the mix and some info about the project.. Once again BIG UP to all of you who STILL check in on the site.

ONE LOVE & KEEP EM BANGIN,
-P

P.S.
Those of you who been asking about the Battlefield Funk Radio Show. Don't trip we got you! Look for a show announcement to pop up in the weeks to come. Thank you all who support the show and for those that aint up on game google that shit.. It's nothing but LIVE khaos in the bunker!!

New Shit...

Peace Everybody!!!!

Whew it's been a real busy few weeks wit all the DEEJAY work.. So that's why the blog hasn't been updated in a while.. But I would like to thank those that have been checking in.. To hold you over here is the newest show from Breakin Bread. Instead of me telling you about it I figure I let the Breakin Bread Posse fill you in..

Thanks for checking in stay tuned as i got a few updates coming up this week...
ONE LOVE AND THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!!
-P

"The Breakin Bread posse all got together in the place to be for this 80's rap special cos this is where we're from and when we first got into the hip hop that led us to start diggin all the funk, soul, disco, breaks, beats and all that dope stuff. When we did get together we realised there was way too much decent hip hop from that decade to fit into a 2 hour show……..so lets call this part 1! Its all hip hop but in this era you can hear the soul, funk and disco tearing thru before the drum machines took over and the beats got harder and harder! Proper old school bigness."
ENJOY!

More info for this years Aerosoul 3 has hit the internets.. New flyers, more additions, video clips, and community support!! PLEASE click the flyers peep the insane artwork/jewels, and get that updated info!

BIG "SALUTE" to you KUFY X, and REFA UNO,

-P

P.S.
I will be doing exclusive interviews with Kufy X, and Refa 1 in the next few weeks to follow.

F.Y.I. For those that don't know all the youth donations are being personally done by Kufu 1 from the TCB/TNS/GFC. Here is a personal message from Kufu that was attached to the youth flyer.

Hotep To All,

The young people that we touch on a daily basis for the last several years have now embrace their roles as legacy builders. Their art exhibit and live showcase is going to be the kick off to another productive and safe summer filled with Hip Hop and social justice work. The show is costly and the supplies are not cheap. from flyers, shirts, paint, and buff to the frames, ink, and brushes...it all cost. With that said, I myself am fundraising in various ways to ensure that the youth have the same experience any Hip Hop festival artists would have. I am doing custom illustrations, airbrushing tshirt orders, canvas work, and wall jobs with all proceeds going to the Aerosoul 3 Youth Show Fund. You give I give......

Salute

“Gilles Peterson returns for his third Saturday afternoon session on BBC Radio 6 Music, searching far and wide for the perfect beat. Alongside his trademark sound, which touches on soul, jazz, hip hop and funk, this week Gilles takes a look at the disco re-edit scene as part of 6 Music Celebrates: Dance Culture. Fronted by Boston crate diggers Kon & Amir, amongst others, this movement has seen classics by Cerrone and The Joubert Singers light up dance-floors 30 years after their inception."

This one is brought to you by Jason Z . from the Tuff Crew. (google him toy)

Thanks J. for the link,

"NY hip hop radio is the worst it’s ever been. Ever. As someone who grew up on (and was hugely influenced by) Philly and NY Hip Hop Radio, it really is sad to see what it’s come down to - - the same 5 songs, 300 times a day, every day.

In order to right this wrong, I hit the internet hard. I went through several hundred songs over the course of 10 weeks and selected 21 of my favorite hip hop and soul tracks.

I squeezed those 21 songs into 32 minutes, mostly one verse and one chorus of each track. If you are feeling any (or all) of these tracks, please support (and thank) those artists for making this great music. The playlist is available on the soundcloud link (it's also embedded in the mp3 file, so if you load it on your iDevice, you'll see the track #, song title and artist name).
Re the tape, there’s no shoutouts or horns, I learned to mix from the Chicago house guys, just blends and eqing and delays (some scratches too). If you are feeling this mix, please repost it and spread the love."

That’s right ‘chall… AeroSoul, the world’s most comprehensive body of work focusing on the African/Black experience in Spray Can Writing Culture is coming to SanFrancisco California this summer July 13th-15th. The Exhibit will break historical ground at the prestigious African American Art & Culture Complex in San Francisco’s Fillmore district. 2012 marks the 3rd year for this annual Pan-African Spray Can Art Festival. AeroSoul 3, “From Khemet to Aztlan” will feature a body of work accentuating the African presence in art from Ancient Africa to the early African presence in the western hemisphere through the style lens of HipHop Calligraphy and iconography. This collection work and artifacts will represent some of the worlds most skilled muralist and illustrators in the African Diaspora. Aerosoul3 will chart the historic evolution of Spray Can Writing Culture from it’s East Coast(New York City/Philadelphia) origins to it’s style successors world wide through the narrative of the African experience. Artist from across the United States, Europe and West Africa will converge for this annual festival to celebrate the African Legacy in Spray Can Writing Culture as well as joining together to paint a Mural in the tradition of the HipHop genre. The Gallery exhibit will run a full 6 month period from July 2012-February 2013. During the Opening weekend an Artist panel from around the globe as well as representatives from different dynastic periods will speak about the state of the art and their rich experience. This year AeroSoul 3 is proud present the Youth edition of the exhibit that will run congruently at the AAACC. The Youth show will highlight the young and upcoming masters of the craft that have been engaged in programs provided by AeroSoul Art instructors. The AeroSoul line up is very impressive this year with a cast of writers from NewYorks 1970’s era, Riff170, Slave TF5, Butch2,Tean TMT, Kade TMT, Shame125, Sak MBT, and Soon to name a few. For The Collectors...

B-Boy Easy Roc from the Westcoast is back at it again with a limited supply of some of that true skool flavor by resurrecting some of his classic medallion illustrations. These were originally made in the early 90's and made in small numbers. These were real big with the heads as well as Zulus. I think he even made RSC ones as well as Krylon logo's. He even made a shirt out of one of or two if i could remember correctly.

*Oh Yeah don't forget to tell em Funkwhatyaheard sent ya!
