"NY hip hop radio is the worst it’s ever been. Ever. As someone who grew up on (and was hugely influenced by) Philly and NY Hip Hop Radio, it really is sad to see what it’s come down to - - the same 5 songs, 300 times a day, every day.
In order to right this wrong, I hit the internet hard. I went through several hundred songs over the course of 10 weeks and selected 21 of my favorite hip hop and soul tracks.
I squeezed those 21 songs into 32 minutes, mostly one verse and one chorus of each track. If you are feeling any (or all) of these tracks, please support (and thank) those artists for making this great music.
