Well it's finally FRIDAY and what better way to start it off with Gilles Peterson final Retrospective Show (#4) on the Hip Hop and Soul he’s supported on his BBC Radio 1 show over the years.. In this show he drops session tracks from Sa Ra Creative Partners, Amp Fiddla and Kindred featuring Roy Ayers, as well as snippets of interviews with Saul Williams, The Roots, and Dwele.
Plus Gilles goes in on the back-catalogue, dropping over 50 tracks in 2 hours, touching on some chill out with Aaliyah, Jill Scott, Badu and D’Angelo, as well as some greasy with Raekwon, Dr Octagon and Dabrye.
*Basically this is a real nice show for a Friday afternoon at work or good play on the way home from your weekend Hip-Hop Road trip. G.P. does go in for 2 hours straight with a nice selection and variety of grown folks Hip-Hop and Soul. But still kept it balanced for the heads with some quality control, drops, and good old fashion soul power.
