New Shit.. Quick download

The Lab Mixshow from Southern CA. sat down With DJ Rhettmatic from the Beat Junkies for a couple of questions on what Rheth has been up to lately.. After the interview Rheth gets on and plays some new exclusives from all his team/family that he rolls with. Then he drops some breaks, and a little party rock set to end it all up.. Expect some doubles, a few patterns and some mixing to tie it all together. If you got a minute check the Ustream show so you can peep it LIVE or you can go in and go straight for the download...

Interesting....

Okay this is some real creative shit right here.. Peep this wedding invitation made out of paper, that folds into a semi-functional record player which plays a song composed by the couple. Now if I could do this for a Hip-Hop party I would be living the dream!

"The resulting booklet is comprised of a cover, two inner pages, a letterpressed band (with instructions and a tear-off RSVP postcard), and a flexdisc on a screwpost. The recipient bends the second page of the booklet back to create a tented “arm.” With the needle placed, they then carefully spin the flexidisc at 45 RPM (ish) to hear the song. The sewing needle travels the length of the song and produces the sound. Its vibrations are amplified by the thin, snappy paper to which it is adhered. To keep the needle down on the record, we reinforced the back of the “tent” with a spray-mounted half page of heavier cardstock. To reduce friction between the acetate flexidisc and the backing cover, we had the inside of the booklet laminated to be slick and conducive to hand-spinning."

Put A Zee On It #12..

The little NSZ bro-bro Cold Chris is back on his grinds.. By the looks of things he has been real busy as of late.. Teaching classes, dropping jewels, and getting bizz all up and down in the Europe.. New Shit (quick Download)

Here is a download of Lauryn Hills entire set live from the sound board at the Coachella Festy that went down in Indio, CA over the weekend. She does some new material, classic joints, little mi dancehall, and is backed up by a real nice band.. After checking in on it I will say its for the most part solid and she does seem real smooth and confident on the mic (the entire time). Never the less it's still a smooth listen and compliments a early Monday morning cup of joe..

A Thursday Ride... (New Shit Quick Download)

Your family J-Rocc did a Dusty House, Hip-Hop, and Disco mix for Fact Magazine.. He also found time to sneak in his own production to promote his new project "Cold Rock Stuff".

For all my greasy Hip-Hop heads:

Expect a fast paced, up beat, mamacita type vibe.. With drinks in hand, and club lights hitting you correct.. But infused with Hip-Hop drums to keep things balanced.. But you WILL appreciate the long clean mixes that are all placed in CORRECT KEY, and TIME for seamless mixes. (JEWELZ FOR YOU SAPS)

*I swear its full blown anarchy with Deejays and the art of matching beats these days.* (NO ONE CARES)

For My Simpson's Heads.... (New Shit)

Pimp My Kicks has done it again for all you Simpsons fans with this ill ass custom.. As the fellas state 'All of the colors on this shoe were custom mixed by us and Homer's hair on the edge of the toe box was engraved into the sneakers, yes engraved. When we created this shoe, we took elements about Homer (the hair, the colour of his skin, shape of his head on down to the color of his pants, shirt and shoes) and incorporated them into these kicks. Everyone knows of Homer's donut obsession so we added the donut in the lace area of the shoe and then made it look like Homer took a bite out of the donut with our engraving process - finished it off with some donut sprinkles and put in some black SB laces as the cherry on top'.

*Super clean if you ask me..*

Curated by Indigo, Unintended Calculations brings together a group of internationally renowned artists – Augustine Kofie (LA), Jerry Inscoe (PDX), Remi/Rough (LDN) and Scott Sueme (VAN) – in an exhibition exploring four very different approaches to abstraction. Working in a variety of mediums, these artists have evolved the letterform building blocks of their shared graffiti background, deconstructing and rebuilding them as compositions of colour, line, shape and movement.
